Our Mission

The purpose of the German American Social Club of Cape Coral according to its Bylaws is “to promote good fellowship (Gemütlichkeit) and provide its members with the opportunity for group enjoyment of activities based on songs and traditional celebrations of German social life.” And further “to hold traditional German festivities such as the Oktoberfest and Carnival/Fasching/Mardi Gras costume balls each year as well as German-Style Barvarian Gartenfests.

GASC of Cape Coral is world famous for its annual Oktoberfest – but we are so much more than that! We celebrate German festivities in style! From our grand New Year’s Eve Gala, to our Coronation Ball, Maskenball and Prinzenball in celebration of the Karneval/Fasching Season, to our Harbor Lights festivities, our Weinfest, Christkindl Markt and crowning of our Schützen King and Queen! But that’s not all. We also have the more American flavors like Country and Western Night, Polynesian Night, and our summer Karaoke fun – with the only act in town that offers a variety of German karaoke tunes. Plus, of course our outdoor activities such as Gartenfests, Bierfests and more!

It doesn’t have to be a grand affair, though. Every Friday night, we are open for a casual dinner and dance to members and non-members alike. Come on out for a pleasant evening of dinner, music and fun. Meet the members and if you like, become one!
